ROBBINS:
Glenn Henry Thompson, age 59 of 1228 Needham Grove Road, died Friday (12/25/2009) at First Health Moore Regional Hospital.
Surviving are his wife, Evon Garner Thompson of the home; stepson, Gary Seawell & wife, Loretta of Robbins; step-daughter, Janet Flinchum & husband, Dale of Robbins; step-grandchildren, Kari Flinchum, Craige Seawell and Justin Flinchum; his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Dempsey Thompson; brothers, Mike Thompson & wife, Cathy, Willie Thompson & wife Ann, Wyatt Thompson & wife, Wendy, Tim Thompson & wife, Tammy and Danny Thompson & wife Beth; sister, Teresa Hill & husband, Mickey.
He was a native of Randolph County. He was a US Army Veteran where he served two tours in Vietnam. He was formerly employed at Randolph Hospital where he was a nurses aid. He was preceded in death by a brother, Douge Thompson and grandparents, The Rev. & Mrs. Henry Thompson.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM on Monday (12/28/2009) at Kennedy Funeral Home in Robbins and all other times at the home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday (12/29/2009) at Smyrna UMC with the Rev. Tal Madison & the Rev. Edwin Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Wyatt and Mike, I am so sorry about the death of your brother. I will definitely keep you and your entire family in my thoughts and prayers.
Try to focus on the good times and precious memories and hopefully that will help to lessen the grief.
