Mrs. Gloria Dunlap Matthews, age 83 of Carthage died Saturday (June 20, 2009) at the residence of her nephew in Sanford where she had been residing.
Funeral Service will be 3:00 PM Wednesday at St. John's Holiness Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 2:00 PM.
A native of Anson County she was a son of the late James H. and Mary Jane Watts Dunlap. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Matthews and a son Robert Matthews, Jr.
She is survived by: sister Lena Mae Weeks of Indiana; granddaughter Alice Lowe of Pinehurst; several nieces and nephews.
