Halia Speer Marsh

Halia Speer Marsh, age 96, of Carthage, died Friday, November 13, 2015 at her residence.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 15, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Red Branch Baptist Church with the Rev. Danny Marsh and Rev. Scott McInnis officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
The family will recieve friends on Saturday, November 14, 2015 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Fry & Prickett Funeral Home.
A native of Yadkin County, she was the daughter of the John Harrison Speer & Lula Carter Speer. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Robert S. Marsh; two sisters, Alice Braddock & Jessie Pearl Tyner; four brothers, Dave, Harrison, Hubert & Tom Speer.
She is survived by her five sons, Billy C (Jean) Marsh of Carthage, Waymon D Marsh of Carthage, T. Eugene (Jean) Marsh of Julian, NC, R Danny (Helen) Marsh of Carthage, Ted H Marsh of Carthage, one sister, Nellie Ruth Parrish of Savannah, GA; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Red Branch Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 1748 Old River Road, Carthage, NC 28327. .
