Harold Edward Davis, 77, passed away on Friday, November 13, 2015, at Autumn Care of Biscoe.

 

Memorial Service will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, November 17, 2015, at Pleasant View Friends Church, where he was a member, with the Reverend Jacelyn Jones and Reverend Don Luellen officiating.  Burial with Military Honors will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1:00 PM.

 

Harold was born on June 7, 1938, in Moore County. He was the son of the late Ausley and Isabel Jordan Davis. He served his country in the United States Army from 1958 till 1961. He worked at Gullistan Carpets in Aberdeen for 42 years, retiring in 1999. He was preceded in death by sisters: Frances Davis, Miriam Davis, and Elva Osborne; brothers: Jimmy Davis, Foster Davis, Alton Davis, Dossie Davis, Emery Davis, Robert McNeill, and Clyde McNeill.

 

Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Emily Seawell Davis, and three sisters: Rachel McGee of Sophia, Bernice Cockman of Bennett, and Rachel Brewer of Star. Harold is also survived by three sisters-in-laws: Maxine McNeill of Eagle Springs, Martha Davis of Greensboro, and Linda Laton of Raleigh, as well as several dear nieces and nephews.
