Harrison Green ‘Bud’ Purvis 68, of 2230 Fayetteville Street, died Monday July 12, 2010 at Randolph Hospital.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, July 15, 2010 at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church in Robbins with the Reverend James Stalnakner and Reverend Roger Riffe officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Purvis owned and operated Bud Purvis Drywall and Safety First Guard Rail Companies. His father Graham H. Purvis preceded him in death.
He is survived by wife, Debra of the home, daughters: Paula Evans and husband, Gary of Mooresville, Della Lewis and husband, Steven of Atlanta, Ga., Serena Frye and husband, Joshua of Ramseur, sons: Eddie Purvis and wife, Connie of High Falls, Scottie Purvis and wife, Amy of High Falls, James Purvis and wife, Angela of Mooresville, Buddy Purvis of Eugene, Or., Lanny Purvis of High Falls, mother, Lilly Kidd Purvis of Robbins,
step-children: Shane Yarborough and wife, Missy of Dumfries, Va., Michael Yarborough and companion, Hope Woodcock of Duncan, Michele Hilliard of Fredericksburg, Va., April Dixon of Angier, Teresa Watts and husband, David of Stafford, Va., brothers: Jack W. Purvis and wife, Raye of Ocean Isle, Thomas W. Purvis and wife, Doris of High Falls and sister, Maggie P. Mashburn and husband, David of High Falls. Mr. Purvis had 10 grandchildren and 15 step grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 PM Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at Kennedy Funeral Home in Robbins and at other times at the home of David and Maggie Mashburn 1878 Wilson Road, Robbins, NC.
