Helen B. Mitchell, 103 years young passed away at her home in Southern Pines, on Sunday, February 17, 2019.
She was preceded in death by her husband Edward Mitchell, parents Earl and Elsie Gosline, sister Eleanor Plough and brother Earl Gosline.
She is survived by daughter Rita Brundage (Bruce) and Kay Newman (Bob), grandchildren Pamela Manno, Lisa O'Connell, Todd Brundage, Kelly Mitchell, Kim Rader, Kathy Smith and 10 great-grandchildren.
Helen spent most of her life in Vestal, NY prior to settling in Southern Pines.
At Helen's request no services will be held.

Helen has been a great neighbor and one of the first to welcome us when we moved here 18 years ago.-Â She always looked great and took good care of herself. We will always remember that wonderful 100th birthday party.-Â We will miss her.-Â
I’m sorry for your loss, pain and suffering. Whenever we lose a loved one in death we feel a sting and a void in our hearts, as if someone ripped part of our heart out. The pain seems like it will never go away. It will with time, or it will at least ease
