Helen Garner Scott 85 , died Saturday, March 9, 2013 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst, NC.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM Monday March 11, 2013 at Smyrna United Methodist Church, where she was a member, with the Reverend Tal Madison officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Scott was a native of Moore County. Helen worked in the Textile Industry for many years. She loved vegetable gardening and caring for her yard.. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a daughter of the late Billy Webster and Louella Williams Garner and was preceded in death by her husband Grier Scott.
Helen is survived by daughters: Faye Garner Nall and husband Mack, of Benson; Pamela Dunlap and husband Johnny of Seagrove, son, Billy Ray Garner, of Alexandria, Va. 4 grandchildren: Mack Nall, Jr., Dennis Nall and wife Dana, Lee Dunlap and wife Anna , Kelly Jackson and husband Jeremy, 6 great grandchildren: Alex, Eric, Wyatt, Weslee, Lindsey and Owen.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM on Sunday March 10, 2013 at Kennedy Funeral Home and other times at the home.
Kennedy Funeral Home is assisting the Scott family.
