Homer H. Fry, age 86 of Carthage died Sunday (February 17, 2014) at FirstHealth Moore Regional in Pinehurst.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at Summer Hill Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Arnold Comer. Burial will follow with Masonic Rites in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall.

A native of Moore County he was a son of the late Haywood and Annie Jane Harmon Fry. He retired as a correctional officer from the N.C. Department of Correction. He was a Master Mason of the Carthage Lodge #181 AF & AM Masonic Lodge and was recently awarded the Diamond Jubilee medal for 60 years of service. 

He was preceded in death by his wife Ilene Thomas Fry and two brothers Waylon and Charlie Fry.

He is survived by: his daughter Rebecca Fry and husband Dail Pope of Carthage; son H.H. Fry of Carthage; grandchildren Chris Maness and Jonathan Fry both of Carthage; great-grandchildren Hughes Fry and Preston Fry of Gallatin, TN.
