Hubert C. Thompson, age 85 of Carthage died Tuesday at HCR Manor Care n Pinehurst.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home conducted by Pastor Jim Boyte. Burial will follow in Hamer Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Mt. Gilead. The family will receive friends one hour before the service.
A native of Montgomery County he was the last surviving child of Columbus W. and Annie Byrd Thompson. Hubert was a farmer and know by many for the produce he grew and sold.
He is survived by: sister-in-laws Wilma Thompson, Sara Ruth Thompson, Nancy Thompson all of Carthage; nephews C.W. Thompson, Charles Thompson both of Carthage, Kenneth Thompson of Jackson Springs; nieces Beth Richardson of Carthage and Annette Thompson of Florida.
