Ida Lee Brady Jackson, age 91 a lifelong resident of Carthage died Friday (February 4, 2011).
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Sunday at Priest Hill Presbyterian Church conducted by the Rev. Archie Stevens. Burial will follow in Cross Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Jackson was born in Carthage at the old Brady home place to the late W.O. And Ida Wadsworth Brady. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by all eight of her siblings and her beloved husband Charles Moffitt Jackson.
She was a retired nurse, having received her nursing education at Dorthea Dix Hospital in Raleigh, Highsmith Hospital in Fayetteville and she was part of the first graduating class at Sandhills Community College in Pinehurst.
She is survived by: her two sons Charles Moffitt Jackson, Jr. and wife Sheila and Herbert Jackson and his friend Jana Boles all of Carthage; and a host of nieces and nephews all of whom she adored.
The family will receive friends at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home on Saturday night from 6:00 - 8:00 PM.
