Ida Warren Brady, age 69, died on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 28, 2023 from 1-3 pm at Fry & Prickett Funeral Home. Funeral services will be private. 

A native of Moore County, she was the daughter of the late Howard Wilson Warren and Kathleen Godwin Warren.  She is preceded in death by her sister, Carol Kay Morgan and brother, Howard “Jr.” Warren. 

Ida is survived by her sons, Eric Brady & wife, Della of Georgia and Joseph Brady & wife, Sylena of Carthage; five grandchildren; sister, Sylvia Childress and brothers, Jim Warren and Robert Warren; and several nieces and nephews.  She was a very simple lady who loved her family and gardening.  Ida worked in various textile mills including Ingersol Rand.  

In lieu of flowers, it was Ida’s wish that donations be made to animal charities.

    I still have joyful memories of visiting Howard Sr, Kathleen, Kay, Ida Mae, Sylvia, Robert and Howard Jr. with my Mom Irene and Dad John Oldham and going down with Howard Jr to the mulberry tree and eating mulberries til our tummy’s hurt.
