Ilene Baker Thompson, age 68 of Carthage died Wednesday (April 20, 2016) at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst.
A funeral service will be held 3:00 PM Sunday at Yates - Thagard Baptist Church conducted by Pastor Steven Johnson.
A native of Moore County she was a daughter of the late Jefferson David and Ruth Mae Garner Baker. Ilene work in various job mostly in retail sales.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 34 years Andy Thompson; son Darrick Hardy and wife Sherry of Carthage; daughter Marsha Rea and husband Coy of Virginia; sister Donna Kyle of Carthage; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Fry & Prickett Funeral Home from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Saturday and other times at the home.

So Sorry to hear of Ilene passing. I went to school with her and worked
with her at Moore regional when we were just out of school. She was a very sweet girl and I know she was a sweet woman. My thoughts and prayers are with all her family.

Thoughts and prayers to family. Ilene was in my graduating class at UPHS 1966 and married my cousin. She was a special lady and one whom I admire. Life is not always fair, but its what we make of life and she was a ‘trooper’. Ilene will be missed by many,
