Irene “Dolly” Burton 85, passed away Saturday, December 25, 2021 at FirstHealth Hospice House, Pinehurst, NC.
Dolly was a native of Pennsylvania and was living in North Carolina due to her declining health. She worked as a typesetter for many years in the printing business. Dolly enjoyed reading and also liked to write stories herself. She always loved horses and owned several in her lifetime. Being outdoors on horseback was a bit of heaven for her. Dolly was a loving mother and time spent with her family was special to her.
She was a daughter of the late Harry and Irene Farmer Rutter.
Dolly is survived by daughters: Beverly Bell Burton (Pete Guidi), Stephanie Burton (Michael Bailey); son: Bruce Burton (Amy McNeill).

Thinking about all of you at this time. Losing a mom is never easy and when we lose one with so much joy for life it is doubly hard. I remember her from my childhood and how much fun she would provide us kids. Oh the laughter we had! Rest in peace beautiful lady.
