Isabell Brown Blue, age 96, died Saturday at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst.
A funeral service is planned for 1:00 PM Monday (3/16/2015) at Eureka Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the funeral service beginning at 12:00 PM and following the service in the church fellowship hall.
A native of Montgomery County, she was the daughter of the late Lemuel Turner Brown and Lydia Florence Riddle Brown. She was a tobacco farmer and textile worker. Her husband, Maxwell Blue preceded her in death in 1985 and her six siblings.
Survivors include two daughters, Norma Jean Coley of Carthage and Lydia Blue Weaver (Todd) of Whispering Pines; one son, Gary Lewis Blue (Margaret) of Cameron; 11 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren and 18 great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to FirstHealth Hospice, 150 Applecross Road, Pinehurst, NC 28374.
