John Henry Denny, age 73, died Thursday at Sanford Health & Rehabilitation.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, December 19, 2016 at Lamm's Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Wayne Greene officiating.  The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 11:30 am until 1:15pm at Cameron Baptist Church.

Born in Lee County, NC he was the son of the late John Allen Denny and Jessie Cooper Denny.  Henry was a farmer and retired from CP&L as a Right-of-Way Agent.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Bonnie Simpson Denny;  son, Derrick Denny of Mint Hill; daughter, Lynne Bullins and husband, Tom of Carthage and grandchildren, Mackenzie Greene & husband, Anthony, and great-grandchild, Emmalyn Greene and Bailey Bullins; and son, Vince Denny & wife, Amy of Carthage and grandchildren, Allen Denny, Victoria Denny and Addison Denny; and siblings, Nancy Barr of Clemmons, Ray Denny & wife, Jan of Raleigh, Kathy Lawhon & husband, Bobby of Reno, NV, Melany McFall & husband, Tom of Chapel Hill.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to: Community Hospice of Lee County, 1836 Doctors Drive, Sanford, NC  27330 or Cameron Baptist Church Building Fund, PO Box 155, Cameron, NC  28326.
