Jack A. Robinson Sr.
November 20, 1934 ~ May 3, 2024
Jack A. Robinson, Sr., age 89, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2024, in Pinehurst, NC. He was born in Easley, SC, in 1934 to Remus and Hazel Robinson.
Jack had a long and successful career in vocational education and industrial engineering. He and his wife moved to Southern Pines, NC, in 1970, where they raised their family and found lifelong friends and church family. Jack was an active member of First Baptist Church of Southern Pines for almost fifty years, and served in many capacities, his favorite being a leader of the Royal Ambassadors program. His passion for education and helping others led Jack to volunteer with many local organizations including FirstHealth Cardiac Rehab and the ARC of Moore County.
A graduate of Clemson University, Jack was undeniably the proudest and loudest Tiger fan of all time. Jack was a true “people person”- he never forgot a name or a face, and could find something or some place in common with anyone he met.
Jack is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Myra; son Jack (Holly) Robinson and daughter Missy (Barry) Miller; and his cherished grandchildren Will (Katie) Robinson and Brice Robinson. The family wishes to thank the staff of FirstHealth Hospice, the staff of Fox Hollow Assisted Living, and family caregiver Elaine Karshner for their kind and loving care of our husband and father.
