Jack Darwin Summers, 77, died Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at his home.
Born October 28, 1934 in Newland, NC, he was a son of the late J. D. and Beulah Deaton Summers.
Mr. Summers was retired from the U S AirForce after 21 years, was a dispatcher for the Southern Pines and Pinehurst Police Departments, and was an instructor at Central Carolina Community College in Sanford,
He is survived by his wife, Reva Price Summers of Southern Pines, one daughter, Valerie Summers Powers and husband, Philip of Bennett, one son Nathan Glenn Summers and wife, Kathy of Aberdeen, two sisters, Elizabeth (Nancy) Williams and Mary Kay Ward both of Kingsport, TN, two brothers, Robert Summers of Kingsport, TN and Samuel Summers of Florida, three grandchildren, Rachel, Ashley, and Derek, and two great grandchildren, Reagan and Brent.
