James Atlas Saunders, 70, died Friday May 31, 2013 in Pinehurst.
A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, June 3rd at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church Cemetery in Ellerbe.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Monday at Powell Funeral Home in Southern Pines.
Born September 9, 1942 in West End he was a son of the late James Z. And Ester Robbins Saunders.
A loving Father, Grandfather, he had many friends and will be missed.
Mr. Saunders was a retired Salesman.
He is survived by his sons, Johnny Saunders and wife Gretchen of Charlotte, Jimmy Saunders of Redmond, AZ, and grandchildren, Michelle Davis, Beth, Jamie, Hailey, and Lucas Saunders.
