James Linville Moore

January 6, 1930 ~ January 4, 2023
James Linville “Wimp” Moore passed away January 4, 2023, just two days before his 93rd birthday.
He was born to the late Archie and Blanche Garner Moore January 6, 1930. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline; sons: Ray Evans Moore, Johnny Lynn Moore: daughter: Peggy Lynell Williams: brother: Carson Moore; sisters: Colleen Baxter, Lucille Jones, Brenda Lednum.
He is survived by brothers Carlton Ray Moore of Pleasant Garden, Edwin Moore of Robbins, and sister, Janelle Garner of Robbins, grandsons, Eric Moore of Durham, Christian and Casey Williams of Robbins and great grandchildren: Casey Williams Jr., Espn May Williams, Ariel Love Williams, and Cobi Williams.
James retired after twenty plus years in the United States Air Force where he served in many places worldwide. He also retired from the North Carolina Community College System and was a custom farmer.
The body will lie in repose from 2 to 4 pm, Sunday, January 8, 2023 at Kennedy Funeral Home
Funeral service will be 3:00 PM, Monday, January 9, 2023 at New Testament Baptist Church, where he was a member, with Pastor Darren Richardson and Pastor Edwin Moore officiating.. Burial, with Military Honors, will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service.
Any food donations can be taken to the New Testament Baptist Church Fellowship Hall for visitation after the service.
