James 'Lonnie' A Hendrick

James “Lonnie” Hendrick , age 85, of Cameron, died Friday, April 17, 2015 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday at Cameron Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Wayne Greene officiating. Burial will follow at Crains Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6:00-8:00 pm at Fry & Prickett Funeral Home .
A native of Moore County, he was the son of Hartsell Hendrick & Lula Doss Hendrick. He was a veteran of the US Army and a Tobacco Farmer by trade. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, fixing things and maintaining the Crains Creek Cemetery. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Irene Marion, Clara Jo Hendrick, Marie Hendrick & Doris Pilson and one brother, Robert Hendrick.
He is survived by his wife Ruby Harward Hendrick; two sons, James “Jim” A Hendrick Jr. & Marcia of Robbins and Wallace D Hendrick & Beverly of Cameron, one daughter, Darnell H. Marks & David of Cameron; one sister, Valeria Maples and Phil of Spring Lake; grandchildren, Brianne & Jeremy Evans, Hollie Hendrick, Zack & Victoria Hendrick, Collin Marks, Hannah Hendrick, Carrie Marks & Helena Hendrick.
