James Michael “Mike”  Moore 61, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2020, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.  

 

Mike was born in Horry County, South Carolina to the late James Doyle and Geraldine Sanders Moore. He graduated from North Moore High School and served his country in the United States Army.  Mike worked for Sprint Telephone, Ithaca, Ind and River Jack.   He loved his family, especially his daughter Logan and time spent with family was very important to him. Mike liked being outdoors, where he enjoyed fly fishing, hiking, canoeing and kayaking. He was a talented guitarist and vocalist. He collected guitars and loved all types of music.  Mike liked to write and keep many journals.  He was preceded in death by his loving dog, “Bo.

 

Mike is survived by daughter: Logan Moore; sister: Vickie York and husband Dwight, brother: Kenneth Moore; many nieces, nephews and friends.

 

Graveside service, with Military Honors, will be  2:00 PM, Sunday, December 13, 2020 at Brown’s Chapel Christian Church Cemetery, with the Reverend Shaun Garner officiating. The family will receive friends at the home of his mother.
