Resided in: Pinebluff, NC

Janet Stinnett Beasley, age 76 of Carthage, passed away in her daughter’s home on Friday, March 5, 2021. She peacefully went home to be with her Lord surrounded by her family.

Janet was born to Walter Lee (Billy) Stinnett and Annie Marie Conner Stinnett on June 19, 1944, in Lexington, Virginia. She grew up in Buena Vista, VA with her 4 siblings and as a teenager, the family moved to Carthage, NC. This is the place where she graduated high school, met and married the love of her life, and raised a daughter. She worked at Ithaca Industries for over 25 years and found her passion in being a care aid for older adults later in life. Janet was a faithful woman whose church family and faith meant everything to her. She enjoyed dressing up in her heels and “sparkles” and sharing her gift of singing with the other members of her church. To know Janet was to love her and there was never a person she saw as a stranger. From painting figurines to sewing and baking her special “bunny cake”, she was creative to the core. She loved to go antiquing and shopping for “treasures,” an interest that she has passed down to her daughter, granddaughters. Her favorite pastime was going to the Orphan Store in Carthage with her sweet girl Bailey. Janet was a light in this world and she is now rejoicing in being reunited with her lost family members and her beloved Savior.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Lee (Billy) Stinnett and Annie Marie Conner Stinnett, her husband Earl Beasley, and loving nephew Paul Tharrell (PT) Marley. She is survived by her daughter, Kelly Beasley Frye and husband James Clyde Frye; Granddaughters Kelcie and Conner Frye; Siblings: Mary Peavy, Sue Overton and husband Doug, Brenda Marley and husband Tharrell, and John Stinnett and wife Marie. She deeply loved her many nieces and nephews and their children.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at Halls Memorial Church in Carthage conducted by her brother Rev. John Stinnett. Burial will follow at Cross Hill Cemetery where she will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Earl “Mac” Beasley. The family will receive friends at Fry & Prickett Funeral home on Monday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and other times at the residence of her daughter.

In Janet’s last few months she found peace in listening to the song “There was Jesus” by Dolly Parton and Zach Williams. She hoped that people would find peace, comfort, and solace in knowing that she is no longer in pain because she’s finally home.

“In the waiting, in the searching, in the healing and the hurting. Like a blessing buried in the broken pieces. Every minute, every moment. Where I’ve been and where I’m going. Even when I didn’t know it or couldn’t see it, There was Jesus”
