Robbins:
JE. Dunlap, 79 passed away peacefully with his family by his side, July 26, 2009.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM. Thursday, July 30, 2009 at Union Grove Baptist Church, Seagrove; where he was a member, with the Rev. Ron Chaney and the Rev. Grady Blakely officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Dunlap was a native of Moore County and was a Loom Technician with Miliken Mills for 43 years and retired from Asheboro Machine Shop. He was a former Chairman of Deacons; Deacon Sunday school Superintendent and Teacher. He was a member of the church Choir and sung in a Quartet. Mr. Dunlap loved gardening and especially singing, he loved his family and his neighbors. He was preceded in death by his parents: Henry and Mamie Dunlap; sister: Jewel Williamson and a granddaughter; Ashley LeGrand.
Surviving is: wife of 57 years Lenora Williams Dunlap of the home.
Son: Keith and wife Lisa Dickens Dunlap of Seagrove.
Daughters: Joanna LeGrand and husband Vernon of Eagle Springs and Shelia Myrick and husband Jim of Southern Pines.
Sisters: Jane Williamson of Seagrove and Betty Parker of Asheboro.
Grandchildren: Travis Dunlap and wife Wendy of Robbins, Jason Myrick and wife Dolly of Seattle, Washington, Hilarie Dunlap of Seagrove, Corey LeGrand of Eagle Springs, Kyndal Dunlap of Robbins, Jamie Myrick of Southern Pines and Justin Dunlap of Randleman.
2 step-grandchildren 6 great-grandchildren and 2 step-great-grandchildren.
