Jean Marr Bailey, Ssg. (US Army Ret.), age 64 of Clayton died Monday at Rex Hospital in Raleigh.
Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Friday at Union Presbyterian Church (2000 Union Church Road, Carthage) conducted by Rev. William A. Stewart.
A native of Wake County she was a daughter of Mattie Laney Marr and the late Walter E. Marr, Jr. She was a personnel technician in the US Army National Guard and retired as a Staff Sergeant. She was preceded in death by her husband Gilbert "Mac" Bailey, Jr.
In addition to her mother she is survived by: a sister Carol Meszaros & husband, Michael of Raleigh; brother Walter E, Marr, III of Garner; niece Elizabeth Paige Meszaros of Raleigh and a nephew Michael Emmett Meszaros of Canada.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Thursday at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home in Carthage.
