Jeanne Gilmore Forsyth

Jeanne Gilmore Forsyth (Jill), 68, of Decatur, Georgia, died Saturday, January 30, 2016 after a short but courageous battle with lung cancer.

 

Memorial services will be held on Friday, February 12, 2016 at 10:00 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Southern Pines, NC,  with burial to follow at Mt Hope Cemetery.

 

Jill was born in Southern Pines, North Carolina, and moved to Atlanta shortly after attending Meredith College in Raleigh. She worked in the banking industry for over 40 years - starting with Fulton National Bank, Bank South, SunTrust, and finally retiring from Georgian Bank in 2009 as Vice President, Manager of Human Resources.  Jill was preceded in death by her parents: Lennox (Slim) and Mary Ellen Sadler Forsyth and her brother, Charles James (Jimmy) Forsyth.  

 

Jill is survived by nephews: Robert (Tammy) Forsyth, Matthew Forsyth and Mark (Amy) Forsyth, several cousins and a host of wonderful loving friends including lifelong friend Linda Link Wyatt (Whitlow )and family and her beloved Godchild, Mary Radford Wyatt von Werssowetz. Also surviving her are her much loved feline companions, Ethel and Annie.

 

The family would like to give a special thank you to Nathan McDaniel, who took such good care of Jill during her illness.
