Jerry Lee Maness, age 52  of Carthage passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst.

A memorial service will be 7:00 PM Monday at Bible Tabernacle. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.

A native of Moore County he was a son of the late Ernest and Darlene Moore Maness. Jerry was a graduate of North Moore High School and was a certified EMT. He was a volunteer with Carthage and High Falls Rescue from 1986-2008. He worked with Lowes home improvement stores in Aberdeen and Sanford as a manager for 16 years. 

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Andy Maness. 

He is survived by his wife Melissa Boyte Maness; sons Justin Maness and Joshua Maness; daughter Hannah Maness all of the home.

  9. I am very sorry to hear of Jerry’s passing. We went to NM together and he was a good guy, definitely considered him a friend. It was always good to catch up when we ran into each other around Moore County. I have prayed for Jerry for a long time now. Our loss is Heaven’s gain and I am so glad that Jerry is not struggling any more and he has a new body and is celebrating. Please know we will hold you in our prayers.
