Jesse M Maples, age 90, died Wednesday (2/3/2009) at his residence.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM on Saturday (2/6/2010) at Cameron United Methodist Church with the Rev. David Johnson and the Rev. J. C. Parker of New Bern officiating. Burial will follow in Cameron cemetery.
A native of Moore County, he was the son of the late Coy Maples and Gertrude Kivett Maples. He was a World War II Army veteran and was a farmer by trade. He was preceded in death by his wife, Madaline and a brother, Aubrey Maples.
He is survived by his daughters; Mitzi Reynolds and husband, Sheldon of Raleigh; Margo Cummings of Cameron; Marilyn Holt & husband, Ricky or Lakeview; a sister, Winnie Weatherly of Hamlet; a brother, Gilbert Maples of Hamlet; and grandchildren, Jessica Cummings, Shannon Garner, Shelly fuller, Page Reynolds and Max Reynolds.
The family will receive friends on Friday (2/5/10) from 6:00-8:00 PM at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home.
