Mrs. Jessie Bell Holder Pope, 73, died Monday, September 21, 2009.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Crossroads Community Church. Burial will follow at Johnson Grove Cemetery in Vass.
Born Nov. 26, 1935 in Robbins, she was a daughter of the late Burl and Mary Garner Cockman and wife of the late Billy E. Holder, Daniel B. Holder, and Melvin Pope, was preceded in death by her sons, Terry, Leonard, and Michael Holder.
Mrs. Pope was retired from Proctor-Silex and was a member of Crossroads Community Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Beverly Haymore of Sanford, one son, Billy Holder of Pinehurst, four sisters, Estelle Patterson of Carthage, Janie Moore and Betty smith of Robbins, and Mozelle Cooper of Olivia, one brother, Ralph Cockman of Robbins, 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
The family will be receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Powell Funeral Home in Southern Pines.
