Jewel Comer Cameron, age 90 formerly of Carthage died Thursday (November 22, 2007) at Franklin Regional Medical Center in Louisburg.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday at Union Grove Baptist Church near Seagrove conducted by the Rev. Robert Flippo. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
A native of Moore County she was a daughter of the late Adam and Betsy McNeill Comer. She worked for many years at Proctor Silex in Southern Pines and later in life did private duty work for the elderly. She was preceded in death by two husbands Shelton Thomas and Bill Cameron; sons Jackie Thomas and Randall Thomas and a stepson Billy Cameron.
She is survived by: daughters Shelby T. McKenzie and husband James of Durham, Melba Kimball and husband Dan of Louisburg; step son Jimmy Cameron and wife Pat of Carthage; sister Eva Bullard of Fayetteville; 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home in Carthage from 7:00 - 9:00 PM Friday.
