Jim Newlan Maness 86, died Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at his home, surrounded by his family.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Kennedy Funeral Home, with the Reverend Scott McInnis officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Rest Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Kennedy Funeral Home, prior to the service, beginning at 12:00.
Mr. Maness was a native of Moore County. He served in the United States Merchant Marines. He worked at Robbins Mill, Ithaca Industries and Burlington Industries. He was a son of the late Henry Clay and Aggie Hussey Maness.
Jim is survived by his wife of 63 years, Louvene, of the home, daughters: Joy Whitlock (John), of Carthage, Gale Enloe (Rancie Moore) of Robbins, 3 grandchildren: Robert Enloe, Jill McInnis, Joe Whitlock, eight great-grandchild, one great great-grandchild:
