James David Nunnaley, age 40 of 815 Warren Road, died Wednesday (January 7, 2009) at Davis Memorial Hospital.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Taylorsville with the burial to follow in Taylorsville Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.

Born in California, Jim and his family moved to Morganton, NC in 1982 and later settled in Candler. He attended Mt. Pisgah Academy and was a brick mason. For the last several years he lived in Taylorsville.

He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Glass Nunnaley; a daughter, Jessica Nunnaley of Weaverville, and a son, Cole A Nunnaley of the home; mother, Marlene Nunnaley of Arden,; father and step mother, Bob and Becky Nunnaley of Candler; brothers: Robert Nunnaley & wife, Kerry of Carthage, Jonathan Nunnaley and wife, Debbie of Burleson, TX, Tom Nunnaley and Daniel Nunnaley both of Sapphire; a sister, Rebekah Alley & husband, Louis of Candler.
