Jimmy (Smoke) Lee Britt, 59 of 163 Smoke House Lane, Robbins, died Saturday (April 16, 2011) at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday at Christian Life Ministries with the Rev. Billy Joe Brady officiating. Burial will follow in the Britt family cemetery.
A native of Moore County, Smoke was a loving husband, a fan of bluegrass music, fishing, flying kites and fireworks. He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Mary Wicker Britt; a brother Jerry Britt and a sister Brenda Medlin.
Surviving are his wife: Lisa Gallimore Britt of the home; step sons: Sterling Andrew Kinley of Raleigh; Preston Robert Kinley,of the home; step-daughter, Stephanie Kinley of Asheboro; brother Robert Britt of Star; sister Colleen Nall of Star and Ann Dingman of Level Cross.
The family will receive friends Wednesday April 20, 2011 from 6-8 PM at Kennedy Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
