Jo Rae Fulk Seawell, age 88, of Glendon, passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst.
Born on February 25, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Lilla Hodges Fulk.
After graduating high school, Jo went to work as a telephone operator for Randolph Telephone Company. She then went on to work as an inspector for Quality Mills and Ithaca. She also babysat many children in the Glendon community.
In addition to her parents, Jo was preceded in death by her siblings: Georgia Faulkner and Ted Fulk.
She is survived by her husband: William Q. Seawell; children: Mike Seawell and wife Grace of Carbonton, Ricky Seawell and wife Deborah of Glendon, Donna VanDeventer and husband Kevin of Orlando, FL, Tony Seawell and wife Lisa of Glendon; 9 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 28, 2023 at 3 PM at Cool Springs Church in Glendon. The family will receive friends following the service and other times at the home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Cool Springs Church or FirstHealth Hospice.

JoRae was amazing person I love her so much she took care of me and my brother when we were little and I was so blessed to have her in my life I love her so much and I will miss her so much she was made me who I am today and I will always remember her forever I love her and I’m so thankful for her for being in my life l love her and all of her family
