John B. Wales

Whispering Pines,
John B. Wales, age 92 of Whispering Pines died Friday (September 25, 2009) at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Tuesday at Eureka Presbyterian Church conducted by the Rev. Edward Boyce, III and the Rev. Dr. Alex Wales (son of Mr. Wales). The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 2:00 PM. Burial with military honors will be in Clover Leaf Park Cemetery in Woodbridge, NJ.
Born in Scotland to the late Alexander Wales and Janet Fleck Wales he moved to New Jersey at the age of six. He was a US Navy Veteran serving during WWII in the Aleutian Islands. He retired from CIBA Chemicals in Toms River, NJ and moved to Moore County in 1986.
He is survived by: his wife Emma Castner Wales; children Alex Wales and wife Barbara of Warrensburg, MO, Rosemarie Wales of Hamilton, NJ, John Wales and wife Mitsy of Maryland, Ron Miko of Whispering Pines, Esther Mary Whitley of Belmar, NJ, Jay Miko of Charleston, SC and Becky Dziok of Sanford, NC; sisters Betty Shardine of Castlebury, FL, Janet VanOlin, Jean Hurget and Harriett Veals all of Bricktown, NJ; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
