John Crawford Rollins, age 73 died Thursday (July 24, 2008) at his residence.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Monday at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home with the Rev. William A. Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Methodist Cemetery in Bennett.
A native of Moore County he was a son of the late Dwight M. and Margaret Stevenson Rollins and was a veteran of the National Guard. He was a Superintendent for Myrick Construction for many years and also worked for Kent Black Construction.
He is survived by: a daughter Marta Jo Collett and husband Craig of San Diego, CA; sons Ron Rollins and John Kent Rollins both of Cameron; step-daughter Lou Ellen Cagle of Cameron; step-sons Cecil Hammer of Long Beach, NC and Darrell Hammer Spies; sister Mary Whitaker of Vass; brother Roy Rollins of Vass; 11 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home Sunday from 6:00 —8:00 PM and other times at the residence.
