John Wendell Reynolds 78, died Friday, January 29, 2106, at Pinelake Rehabilitation Center, surrounded by his family.

 

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, February 1, 2016  at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, where he was a member, with the Reverend Lindsay Collins and Reverend Robert Kidd officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  

 

Wendell was a native of Moore County and a graduate of High Falls High School. He loved to work with his hands, fixing sewing machines, tractors and many other projects for friends and neighbors. He had a good sense of humor and was ready with a joke for everyone.  Wendell enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors. He was a son of the late Tommy Jackson and Blanche Spencer Reynolds and was preceded in death by brothers: Elwood, Vernon and Elijah Reynolds; sister: Catherine Howard.

 

Wendell is survived by his wife of 53 years, Barbara, sister Evelyn Kidd and many nieces and nephews.

 

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM, Sunday, January 31, 2016 at Kennedy Funeral Home and at other times at the home.
