Johnnie Robert Purvis, age 61 of 407 George P. Road died Sunday (May 25, 2008) at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church of which he was a member. Services will be conducted by the Rev. James Stalnaker and Rev. Clarence Garner. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
A native of Moore County he was born September 14, 1946 to Robert C. and Treva Comer Purvis. He was a 1964 graduate of Highfalls High School and retired from Moore County Schools as Shop Forman.
In addition to his parents he is survived by: daughters Shonda Proffit and husband Tony of Sophia, Susanne Kishbaugh and husband Brad of Asheboro; son Timmy Purivs and wife Shannon; sister Joyce Woodell and husband Tommy of Robbins; brother Jeff Purvis and wife Bonnie of Robbins; grandchildren Gaby, Cassie and Todd; six nephews and four nieces.
The family will receive friends at Kennedy Funeral Home Tuesday from 6:00 " 8:00 PM and other times at the residence of Timmy Purvis, 407 George P. Road and Robert and Treva Purvis, 1059 N. Moore Road, Robbins.
