Roger Nichols April 6, 1943 – October 4, 2024 Roger Nichols, 81, passed away on October 4, 2024.

Born on April 6, 1943, Roger lived a life filled with dedication, kindness, and a deep love for his family. He was married to Linda Nichols for 47 years.

Roger is survived by his beloved wife, Linda, his children, Todd Nichols and Jonathan Nichols, and his cherished grandchildren. He was preceded in death by all eight of his siblings, being the youngest of the family.

Roger served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War, dedicating four years of his life to the service of his nation. Upon his return, he carried on his spirit of service by volunteering with the Carthage Fire Department. Roger had a passion for golf and spent many joyful days at Hyland Hills, where he worked as a starter. Known for his friendly smile and quick wit, Roger was loved by everyone there.

Roger’s life was filled with simple joys—golfing and spending time with his family. His kindness, humor, and unwavering love for those around him will be greatly missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

A memorial service honoring Roger’s life will be held on Friday, October 11, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Fry & Prickett Funeral Home in Carthage.
