Josephine McCaskill Dowd, age 93 of Carthage, died Thursday (September 18, 2008) at the residence of her daughter, Kay Robbins.
Funeral services will be held 4:00 P.M. Saturday at Bethlehem Baptist Church conducted by the Dr. Zeb Moss. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
A native of Montgomery County, she was the daughter of the late Garland McCaskill and Emma McMaster McCaskill. She and her husband, the late Harold Springs Dowd, were owners of Windy Ridge Nursery.
She is survived by: a daughter Emma Cumby and husband Don of Suwanee, GA; a daughter Kay Robbins and husband John of Carthage; a brother Ray McCaskill and wife Becky of Clemson, SC; five grandchildren.
The family will receive friends immediately after the service in the fellowship hall.

So Sorry to hear of Mrs. Dowd\’s passing. I have often times remembered the days we spent as children in the old home place. I was always fun. The Lord has taken a good lady. My thoughts are with the family.
