Judith L. Danneberg

Judith L. Danneberg, 76, died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2008 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m.on Friday Jan. 2, 2009 at Southern Pines United Methodist Church with a reception following the service.
Mrs. Danneberg was very active in church and civic affairs. In Illinois she served as a Girl Scout Leader, organizer and board member. She was also a board member of the Gordon Community Center and co-chaiman of the Lake Forest Library book sale; circle chairman and president of the Methodist Women at Grace United Meodist Church.
Since moving to Southern Pines in 1987, she was a member of the Chippers golf group at Pinehurst Country Club. She was an active member of the Cancer CARE Fund of FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital; a weekly volunteer in the hospitals Human Resources Department; coordinator for the Moore County Reach to Recovery volunteers and chairman of the Helping Hands Ministry for Southern Pines United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Gene of 53 years, two daughters, Deborah and Jennifer.
