Julia C. Marley died Monday (2-7-2011) at Pinelake Health and Rehab. in Carthage surrounded by her family.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday February 10, 2011 at First Wesleyan Church in Robbins with Pastor Sam Swinney officiating. Burial will follow at Tabernacle United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Julia was a native of Robbins, here she spent all her life working in the mill,and she was a homemaker. She was a active member of the First Wesleyan Church where she was a Sunday school teacher and a choir member. She loved sewing,quilting, and working in her flower and vegetable garden.
She was preceded in death by her parents William Plennie Marley and Flossie Mae Stutts Marley, sisters, Ruth M. Maness and Edna M. Garner; brothers, Grady Marley, Everette Marley, and Graham Marley.
Surviving are her sisters, Emily Owens and husband Bobby; Barbara Reynolds and husband Wendall; Virginia Moore all of Robbins; Naomi Brown of Bennett; one brother Norman Marley of Robbins, several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Wednesday February 9, 2011 at Kennedy Funeral Home in Robbins and other times at 276 Simmons Rd. Robbins, NC 27325
