Julia (Judy) K. Atherholt, age 88 of Pinehurst died Tuesday (April 14, 2009) at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. in Community Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dr. Rod Stone officiating.

A native of Tipton, IN she was a daughter of the late Oris and Della Powel Kinder. She received her music major at DePauw University in Newcastle, Indiana. She also taught high school music and band at Noblesville, IN, and for several years she worked as a Stewardess for American Airlines.

She is survived by: her husband George H. Atherholt; daughter Cynthia C. Purvis and husband Daniel of Ft. Wayne, IN; son A. John Cornish of Morrison, CO; step-sons Tyson W. Atherholt of Newfields, NH, Frederick M. Atherholt of York, PA and George J. Atherholt of Saratoga, WY, and eleven grandchildren.
