November 14, 1988 ~ October 4, 2026

Justin M. Adcock, 37, of Bear Creek, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 4, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Justin was born November 14, 1988 to Angela Oldham Pearce and Harold Adcock Jr. in Lee County, North Carolina.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Jimmy Oldham and paternal grandfather Harold Adcock Sr.

Justin, affectionately called Jo-Jo by his family, was known by everyone for his quiet kindness. His family and friends who knew him best knew how witty and intelligent he was. He loved the beach and going on vacation with his family.

Justin had a lifelong passion for sports, and he was a huge supporter of his favorite team, the NC State Wolfpack. He played football and baseball all four years at North Moore High School, and he was a manager of the basketball team while he studied at Coastal Carolina University where he built lifelong friendships. His favorite baseball teams were the St. Louis Cardinals and Oakland A’s. In the NFL, he cheered on the Minnesota Vikings and Carolina Panthers. He never missed a Carolina Hurricanes game, and he loved NASCAR.

Left to cherish Justin’s memory is his mother Angela Oldham Pearce and stepfather Mark Pearce; father Harold Adcock and stepmother Tena Adcock; Brother Ryan Adcock; Stepbrothers Matthew Pearce (Ashton), Nathan Pearce, and Austin Baum; Stepsisters Lela Baum, and Britani Baum; Grandmothers Judy Barber Oldham and Patricia Powers Martinez; multiple aunts and uncles; many cousins; and his loving family dog, Benny.

Justin will be deeply missed by those who loved and knew him.

Memorial service will be 3 PM, Friday October 9, 2026 at Kennedy Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 2 PM.
