Kate Glenn Shields, 80, of Robbins, passed peacefully away at her home on Tuesday, February 7, 2023.

Kate had a passion for Duke Basketball and NASCAR.  She enjoyed  crocheting, had an extreme “Sweet Tooth” and a deep love for all her grandchildren. She was a daughter of the late Otis Herman Glenn, Sr. and Cassie Allred Glenn and was preceded in death by husband: Frank Shields; daughter: Amy Moore; son: Ritchie Shields; brothers: Otis Glenn Jr. (BigO), Hal Ray Glenn (Tootie).

Kate is survived by daughter: Frankie Shields Mabe, of Seagrove; sisters: Ann Pruitt, of Greensboro, Ellen Cheek, of Georgia; special aunt: Betty Craig, of Robbins; grandchildren: Brandon Bibey (Tara),  Matthew Bibey (Tina), Kori Bales (Chris), Melissa Clendenin (Caleb), April Grant (Chris); great grandchildren: Kolbi, Aurea, Hope, Max, Branson, Calissa, Nick, Ashlee, Nate, Stormy, Jeffrey, Tamiana, Gage;  great great grandchildren: Madalyn, Bridger, Brenner, Coy; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Ms. Kate’s request was for the family to have a private service to Celebrate her Life.

Memorial may be made to Robbins First Baptist Church, P O Box 400, Robbins, NC 27325.

  1. My sympathies to the family.Only met her one time at Pine lake while visiting my aunt.She was very sweet and we talked for a little while.I think she was going home the next day.Praying for the family.
