Katherine “Tabby” Garner, 82,  passed away peacefully, Sunday, June 7, 2020 at her home, surrounded by her family. 

 

Private Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Thursday June 11, 2020  at Acorn Ridge Baptist Church, with Dr. John Williamson officiating. Public graveside service will follow.

 

Tabby was a graduate of Westmoore High School.  She worked in textile and was the custodian for Acorn Ridge Church for many years.   Tabby was blessed by God with a musical talent and she shared it by playing the piano for the Lambert Family, her church choir, countless weddings and funerals all around this area. She was a caring person, always thinking of others before herself. Family was most important to her and she loved all the times spent with family.  Family gatherings were very special, from Christmas to a backyard cookout, she wanted everyone involved. Tabby enjoyed  playing golf, flower gardening and making pottery.   She was a daughter of the late Comer and Guitie Williamson Lambert and was preceded in death by sons: Gary Kidd, Jerry Kidd, David Kidd; grandson: Jamie Kidd; 11 siblings. 

 

Tabby is survived by husband: Linville “Bud” Garner; daughters: Karen Watson and husband Benny, Sharon Hill and husband Tony; sons: Terry Kidd and wife Teresa, Tommy Kidd and wife Misty; grandchildren: Deanna, Michael, Misty, Kim, Kristie, Larry, Hannah, Nick, Jana, Dakota, Hayle, Lelue; 13 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter; sister: Louise Martin and husband Benny; brother: Richard Lambert and wife Betty; many nieces, nephews and friends,.

 

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM, Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at Kennedy Funeral Home.

  1. We are keeping “All”of you in our prayers. It has been a long journey here for your mama. God has called another Angel home. It is a sad time but, Tabby has started another journey. You will have many memories & stories to share with each other.
