Kathleen Brown Vest, 86 died Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst, NC.

 

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, May 23, 2014 at Smyrna United Methodist Church  with the Reverend  Marc Meyers, Reverend Edwin Moore and Reverend Gene Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

 

Kathleen was a member of Grace Baptist Temple, in Asheboro. She was  a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She enjoyed her garden and flowers.

 

Kathleen was a daughter of the late Johnnie Spinks and Ella Florence Lambert Brown.  She was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Vest and son, Willie C. Vest.

 

Kathleen is survived by son:  Tracy C. Vest, of the home; daughter; Janice V. Dunn, of Robbins; grandchildren: Lora V. Sepko and husband Martin, Sharon V. Lambert and husband Dwayne, Karen D. Kidd and husband Keith, Jason C. Vest and wife Sarah; great grandchildren: Kayla Kidd, Taylor Lambert, Tanner Kidd, Macy Lambert, Morgan Lambert, Jenna Lambert and Hailey Vest.

 

The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at Kennedy Funeral Home and at other times at the home.

 

Memorial may be made to Grace Baptist Temple, 6120 US 220 Alt., Asheboro, NC 27205.
