Kevin M. Barber, age 37 of Vass died Saturday (January 14, 2012) at his residence.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday at House of the Lord in Vass conducted by Pastor Tom Everette. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
A native of Moore County he was class of 1993 graduate of Union Pines High School. He was employeed for several years as a Sales Representative for Builders First Source. His passion was coaching baseball and basketball. He coached for Moore County Parks and Recreation as well as traveling teams. His father William Blue preceded him in death.
He is survived by: his wife Kristy Ludwig Barber; sons Tyler and Chandler: daughter Dixie; mother and step father Cathy Barber Southerland and Jackie Southerland of Carthage; grandmother Mozelle Barber of Carthage; brothers Christopher Barber of Cameron, Eric Chrisco of Southern Pines; step sister Lisa Kyle of Carthage; step brother Phillip Blue of Vass; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family will receive friends at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Tuesday and other times at the residence of Cathy and Jackie Southerland.
