Lloyd B. "L.B." Monroe, age 86 died Saturday (May 30, 2009) at his residence.
Graveside services will be held 6:00 PM Sunday at Culdee Presbyterian Church Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Chris Bobo and the Rev. Archie Stevens.
Born in Richmond County to the late Lonnie Martin Monroe and Flonnie Mae Thompson Monroe, he was a US Army veteran of WWII and a retired security guard. He was preceded in death by his wife Lucille Short Monroe and a stepson Ronald Wayne Carter.
He is survived by: his brother Dallas Monroe and wife Geneva of Southern Pines.
