Lacy Dunn, age 66 of Southern Pines died Saturday at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill after a brief illness.
A memorial service will be 6:00 PM Tuesday at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church multipurpose building conducted by the Rev. Gregg Newton. The family will receive friends following the service.
Born in Columbia S.C to the late Johnny Henry and Pearlie Strickland Dunn he was a truck driver for Gilbert Horner Paving and had previously worked with S.T. Wooten in Sanford. He was preceded in death by a brother Bill Dunn.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Crabtree Dunn of Carthage; son Mike Dunn and wife Kelly of Southern Pines: daughters Michelle Dunn of Carthage and fiance Kevin Stutts, Pam Glenn and husband Jerry of Hartsville, SC; brothers John Dunn of Laurinburg, J.C. Dunn and wife Faye of Laurel Hill; sister Nancy Locklear and husband G.B. of Pembroke; grandchildren Sabrina Dunn, Dillon Campbell, Kylee Glenn, Mikayla Dunn, Cody Dunn and JilliannaGlenn.

Lacy Dunn was a friend that we did not see very often, but we knew he was our friend. He was a calm,quiet,sweet,gentle man that we never knew to say a harmful word against anyone. He had a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eye and will surely be miss
