Lee Green L.G. ? Maness, 73, of Maness Rd. died Sunday, May 17, 2009 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center in Myrtle Beach as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
Funeral service will be held 3:00 PM. Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at Smyrna United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Tal Madison. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
A native of Moore County he was a son of the late Lonnie Green Maness and Lula Garner Maness. He was a retired truck driver with Milliken, and also drove for PCC. He was a family man, a great friend and a true motorcycle enthusiast. Three sisters preceded him in death: Madith Maness, Marie Maness and Verness Mickie ? Beard.
He is survived by: his wife Dollie McNeill Maness, sons: Alan Maness of Greer, SC, Richard Maness and wife Roberta of Whispering Pines, Doyle Maness of Robbins; daughter Donna Ritter and husband Farrell of Bennett; sisters Johnsie Seibel of Huntersville and Louvene Goodie ? Howard of Troy; grandchildren Ali Maness, Will and Matthew Maness, Jessica and Stephanie Maness, and Farrah and Zach Ritter.
The family will receive friends at Kennedy Funeral Home Tuesday from 6:00 " 8:00 PM and other times at the residence of Doyle Maness.
